How to Get to Corralejo? – By Air, Ferry + Local Advice

Corralejo is located on the northern coast of Fuerteventura. If you are planning a trip to Corralejo, it is essential to know how to get there. Fortunately, there are several options available to make your journey smooth and comfortable.

By Air

The most convenient and fastest way to get to Corralejo is by air. The island of Fuerteventura has its international airport, Fuerteventura Airport, which is situated in El Matorral, just 5 km from Puerto del Rosario, the island’s capital.


Many airlines operate regular flights to and from Fuerteventura airport, connecting the island to many major cities in Europe.

Once you arrive at the airport, you can easily hire a taxi, rent a car or take a bus to Corralejo.

Taxis are readily available at the airport, and the journey to Corralejo takes around 30 minutes.

Car rental companies also have offices at the airport, and it is a popular option for those who prefer the freedom and flexibility of exploring the island on their own. Alternatively, you can take a bus from the airport to Corralejo, and the journey takes around 45 minutes.


By Ferry

Another way to get to Corralejo is by ferry. The island of Fuerteventura is well connected to the other Canary Islands, and there are regular ferry services to and from the neighbouring islands.

The main ferry port on Fuerteventura is located in Puerto del Rosario, and several ferry companies operate daily services to Corralejo.

One of the most popular ferry services is provided by Fred Olsen, which operates daily services between Corralejo and Playa Blanca in Lanzarote.

The journey takes around 25 minutes, and the ferry departs every half an hour during peak season.

You can also take a ferry from Corralejo to the nearby island of Lobos, which is a popular destination for day trips.
