The world famous Alcazar of Seville (Reales Alcazares) is a 14th century Moorish style palace and Arab fortress located in Patio de Banderas, next to the Seville Cathedral in Seville.
The Alcazar was first rebuilt by Pedro I, the Cruel over the ruins of a lavish Arab palace. The beautiful Ambassador’s Hall has a great dome of intricate woodwork built at the beginning of the 15th century.
What to See?
The fortress is surrounded by extensive gardens and tranquil courtyards. There are also various chambers with an interesting collection of tapestries, including one depicting Charles V.
