The region is well-served by several airports, which offer a range of flights from all over Europe and beyond.


Travelling by Air

The Alicante-Elche Airport is the main airport for the Costa Blanca, and it’s the fifth-busiest airport in Spain. It’s located just 9 kilometers from the city of Alicante, and it’s a popular hub for low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and EasyJet.

From Alicante Airport, you can easily reach many of the popular resorts and towns on the Costa Blanca, either by public transport or by hiring a car.

Another option is Valencia Airport, which is located around 135 kilometers north of the Costa Blanca. This airport is served by several major airlines, including Iberia, Ryanair, and EasyJet, and it’s a good option if you’re traveling to the northern part of the region.

From Valencia Airport, you can take a shuttle bus or hire a car to reach your destination on the Costa Blanca.

Travelling by Rail

Getting to Costa Blanca by rail is possible but requires some planning and transfers. There are two main railway lines in the region: the Alicante-Murcia line and the Alicante-Dénia line.

From major cities in Spain, such as Madrid or Barcelona, there are high-speed trains that connect to Alicante, the capital of Costa Blanca. Once in Alicante, travelers can transfer to either of the two railway lines.
