How to Get to Costa Calma? – By Air, Ferry, Bus + Local Advice

The closest airport to Costa Calma is Fuerteventura Airport (FUE), which is located approximately 60 kilometers north of the resort town. From the airport, there are a few ways to reach the resort.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminal, and the journey to Costa Calma takes around 50 minutes. Expect to pay around €70-80 for a one-way trip.

By Ferry

Another option for getting to Costa Calma is by ferry. The port of Morro Jable, located in the south of Fuerteventura, is the closest ferry port to Costa Calma.

From the Canary Islands

If you’re already in the Canary Islands and want to travel to Fuerteventura by ferry, there are several ferry companies that operate services between the islands, including Naviera Armas and Fred Olsen Express.

The journey takes around 2-3 hours, depending on the ferry company and route. From Morro Jable, it’s a short taxi ride to Costa Calma.

From Mainland Spain

If you’re traveling from mainland Spain, the closest ferry port to Fuerteventura is in Cadiz. Naviera Armas operates a ferry service between Cadiz and Fuerteventura, with the journey taking around 36 hours.
