How to Get to Costa Calma? – By Air, Ferry, Bus + Local Advice

The closest airport to Costa Calma is Fuerteventura Airport (FUE), which is located approximately 60 kilometers north of the resort town. From the airport, there are a few ways to reach the resort.


Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminal, and the journey to Costa Calma takes around 50 minutes. Expect to pay around €70-80 for a one-way trip.


There are several bus companies that operate services between the airport and Costa Calma, including Tiadhe and Autobuses Maxorata. Buses depart from the airport every hour, and the journey takes around 1.5 hours. A one-way ticket costs around €6-7.

Car Rental

The journey takes around 2-3 hours, depending on the ferry company and route. From Morro Jable, it’s a short taxi ride to Costa Calma.

From Mainland Spain

If you’re traveling from mainland Spain, the closest ferry port to Fuerteventura is in Cadiz. Naviera Armas operates a ferry service between Cadiz and Fuerteventura, with the journey taking around 36 hours.
