Migjorn Beach, Formentera (What to Expect? Photos)

Migjorn beach is one of the biggest beaches in Formentera and the sandy beach stretches along a large part of the southern coast of Formentera, almost from La Mola to Es Cap de Barbaria. These two points can easily be seen from Migjorn beach although they are quite away from one another.

The large extent and geographical position make Migjorn beach one of the least busy and one of the most peaceful places on the island. The beach is also one of the most visited and most popular beaches in Formentera.

What to Expect?

Migjorn Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline located on the southern side of Formentera. With crystal clear waters and powdery white sand, Migjorn is a popular destination for those seeking a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The beach is approximately 5km long, stretching from the Es Caló de Sant Agustí in the east to Punta de sa Pedrera in the west. There are numerous access points to the beach, including a few car parks and several paths leading down from the surrounding hills.

One of the standout features of Migjorn Beach is its secluded coves and rocky outcrops, which provide a perfect spot for snorkelling and exploring the marine life. There are also several beach bars and restaurants dotted along the shore, serving up fresh seafood and refreshing drinks to beachgoers.

If you’re looking for a more active day out, there are plenty of water sports available to try, including kayaking, paddleboarding, and windsurfing. The beach is also a popular spot for hiking, with several trails leading through the surrounding countryside and up to the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean.

Getting There

There are several options for transportation to the beach. One option is to rent a bike or a scooter, which is a popular way to get around the island. There are also local buses that run from the main town of Sant Francesc to the beach. Taxis are also available, but they can be quite expensive.
